Terms of Service

Last updated 3 August 2026. These terms govern your use of the Daily Brief app for Jira Cloud.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Daily Brief ("the app") is provided by Abdullah Khalfi, trading as Ranzo Apps, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you ("you", meaning the organisation whose Atlassian site it is installed on) accept these terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.

2. Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app on the Atlassian sites for which it is licensed, for as long as your licence is active and these terms are met. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works from it, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3. Billing

The app is free for sites of up to 10 users. Above that it is charged per user through the Atlassian Marketplace, and appears on your normal Atlassian invoice. Pricing, taxes, refunds, upgrades, downgrades and cancellations are handled by Atlassian under the agreement between you and Atlassian. We do not process your payments and never see your card details.

4. What the app does with your data

The app runs entirely on Atlassian infrastructure and sends no data outside Atlassian. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You remain responsible for your own Jira content and for who you grant access to it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app to break any law, or to infringe anyone's rights;
• attempt to bypass the app's permission model or access data you are not entitled to in Jira;
• probe, load-test, or attack the app or the Atlassian platform it runs on, other than good-faith security research reported to us privately;
• use the app to send unsolicited or harassing messages to colleagues.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app working and to fix defects promptly, but the app depends on the Atlassian Forge platform and the Jira APIs, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that removes a significant capability you rely on, we will note it in the app's release notes on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Support is provided by email at support@clientportal-platform.com. See the support page for what to include and our target response time.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The app is an assistant that surfaces information already in Jira; it is not a system of record, and you should not rely on it as your only means of tracking deadlines or obligations.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory consumer protection or product liability rules.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which also removes its stored data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated date above will change, and the current version is always the one published on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.

13. Trademarks

Atlassian, Jira and Forge are trademarks of Atlassian Pty Ltd. This app is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Atlassian. Those names are used only to describe what the app works with.
