Getting started
There is no setup. Install the app, then open Apps → Daily Brief in Jira. Opening the page once is what activates your daily brief, so tell your team to open it once each. From then on it is prepared for them every morning.
Questions people ask first
When does the brief arrive?
At 08:00 on weekdays by default, in your own timezone, taken from your Atlassian profile. Change the hour, the days, or pause it entirely under Settings.
Do I have to set due dates on everything?
No. That is the point. Due dates make the brief better, but an issue with no dates at all still shows up if it has gone quiet or if it is holding up a teammate.
What exactly counts as "blocking someone"?
An issue assigned to you that has a Blocks link to another issue that is still open. If that other issue belongs to a teammate, the brief names them. If nobody owns it yet, the brief says "someone". Work that only holds up your own other tasks is not counted, because you cannot block yourself.
What makes an issue "stale"?
No activity for seven days by default. You can change that threshold, or widen the "coming up" window, under Settings.
Why is my brief empty?
Because nothing needs you. A quiet brief is a feature, not a failure. If you expected something specific, check that the issue is assigned to you and not in a Done status.
Can I set a reminder for someone else?
Yes. That is one of the things people ask for most and rarely get. The reminder lands in that person's own morning brief on the date you pick.
Who can see the Team view?
Anyone who opens it, but it only ever shows what that person's own Jira permissions already allow. The app runs those queries as the viewer, so it cannot expose an issue they could not open in Jira themselves.
Does the app send email?
No. Everything is delivered inside Jira. The app makes no connections outside Atlassian at all.
Does it work with company-managed and team-managed projects?
Yes, both. The brief is built from your issues and their links, which work the same way in either project style.
Billing questions
Licensing, invoices, refunds and cancellation are handled by Atlassian, because the app is sold through the Atlassian Marketplace. Your Jira administrator can manage the subscription under Settings → Apps → Manage apps. Sites with 10 users or fewer are free.
Reporting a security issue
Please write to support@clientportal-platform.com with the details and give us a reasonable window to fix it before disclosing publicly. We take these seriously and will keep you updated on the fix.
Requesting a feature
Genuinely welcome, and the fastest way to shape the app. Tell us the situation you are in and what you wish the brief had told you that morning; that is more useful to us than a feature name.
